Panamá and Chiriquí

Panamá, path of the worlds, hub of investment

Brisas de Volcán is located in Panama, a country located in the Southeast end of Central America. During the last ten years, Panama has become a center of investment, tourism and real estate development. The swift economic development of the country and the friendly character of its people are the main reasons of Panama's attractiveness.

The Republic of Panama is formed by 9 provinces and 5 Indian reservations. The country has the Caribbean sea at the North, the Pacific Ocean at the South, Colombia at the East side, and Costa Rica at the West. The 75.517 km² of land are located in the isthmus that connects South America with Central America. The mountainous axis of the country is only interrupted at the point where the Panama Canal is located. The population of the country is  3,405,813 people, and the main language is Spanish, although English is widely used.

Panama's condition of a transit place for people from all over the world made a melting pot of cultures out of our country. The country is the backdrop of one of the most ingenious man-made opus: The Panama Canal, a marvel of technology and a testament of human courage that serves efficiently as a mean of communication between the Atlantic and the Pacific, reshaping global trade. Because of the Canal and our geographical location, Panama offers a wide range of logistics, commercial, financial and legal services to corporations from all over the world. One of these services is the Colon free zone, the largest duty-free zone in the continent and the second largest in the world.

Panama ranks as among the best countries in Latin America in many indexes and benchmarks. Like the Social development index 211 (1st. in Central America, 6th in Latin America). Panama is considered a country with good income (mid-high range) According to the Global Peace Index, Panama is the second most safe country in Central America.

Golfo de Chiriquí, Provincia de Chiriquí

Chiriquí, Panama's breadbasket

Chiriquí is the second most important province in Panama. It is located just 6 driving hours away from Panama City (35 minutes, if you take a plane instead). The Valley of the Moon (as it was known among the natives) offers a miriad of tourism attractions: Beautiful beaches like Las Lajas, misty mountains full of life and breathtaking views, nice weather around the year, topped with the vibrant indigenous cultures.

David, capital of the province, is a bustling city energized by intense commercial activity. The government is investing heavily in the infrastructure of the area, creating new highways and modernizing the International Airport in David

Chiriqui is a land of fertile soils and a variety of micro-climates. Its habitants have taken advantage of these features by creating a bustling agro industry around it. Cattle farming, race horse stables, banana plantations, trout farms, flower production, rum distilleries, and coffee plantations are only a few of many important activities in the area.

The Chiriqui Highlands, home to Brisas de Volcán, are abundant with flora and fauna. Hundreds of species of birds, insects and mammals live here. In fact, you can observe the beautiful quetzal and other unique species of birds at just 15 minutes from our project at the Volcán Barú National Park / La Amistad International Park.
